“Weatherization” has become the watch-word for sealing and insulating the envelope or shell of your home- its outer walls, ceiling, windows, doors and floors-is often the most cost effective way to improve energy efficiency and comfort. Government studies site that upwards of 60% of all single family homes are under-insulated.
Unified Comfort Systems trained and certified installers can provide a Home Energy Audit, using home pressure blower door testing and FLIR infrared cameras to identify areas in your home that are under insulated or air leaks wasting energy dollars. Investment in home performance upgrades of insulation and sealing while using Energy Star can provide dollar paybacks far into the future.

Benefits to Home Performance Weatherization
- Lower utility bills
- Improved comfort (air flow, cold & warm spots in a home)
- Reduced noise from outside
- Less pollen, dust and insects (and rodents) entering your home
- Better humidity control
We begin by sealing air leaks with caulking, spray foam and weatherstripping. Gaps around chimneys and furnace flues are sealed with high-temperture sealants.
Adding insulation after sealing the air leaks ensure the best insulation performance. Attics, walls, crawl spaces and concrete block basement walls are insulated with foam, foam board, blown-in cellulose & fiberglass, and spray foam. Insulation is also added to hot water piping and water heaters.
